Solution information
To reduce nighttime traffic accidents, the Adaptive Headlamp System (AFS) acts as an active safety system to sense road conditions and vehicle direction. Based on the sensor data, the AFS ECU drives the stepper motor of the lamp to optimize the lighting mode, significantly improving the driver's night visibility.
The AFS consists of left and right headlight linkage systems, levelers and other units that share vehicle speed and steering wheel angle information.
The AFS system communicates with the in-vehicle system via the CAN bus, and the LIN bus connects the main module and the slave module. Since the AFS is installed in the engine compartment, the slave modules are integrated to meet the 40°C to 125°C operating temperature range.
