Cirrus Logic announced the introduction of an analog digital audio converter (ADC) integrated circuit CS5368. The device eliminates the need to integrate multiple stereo analog-to-digital converters for surround and multi-track applications. The CS5368 is a solution with integrated features while saving space. It allows system designers to streamline product development and reduce design complexity; it also reduces overall system cost compared to surround multitrack boards that use multiple stereo AD converters.The CS5368 is the industry's first 8-track audio AD converter to support high-speed TDM interfaces, providing an 8-bit data serial output with up to 192 kHz sample rate in a single data stream. This capability reduces design difficulty and input/output limitations of the digital signal processor. Low-latency digital filtering makes the CS5368 an excellent choice for live sound and real-time audio applications.
