The inspection and quarantine department reminded domestic LED lighting manufacturers to know relevant standards in time to avoid export risks.

It is reported that from September 1 this year, the EU's ecological design requirements for directional lights, LED lights and related equipment have officially entered the first stage. The energy efficiency requirements, functional requirements and information requirements of the products must meet the new regulations. For example, energy efficiency requirements for LEDs are increased by a factor of 2.5. From February 1 this year, all luminaires exported to the EU need to strengthen the EMF (electromagnetic field) test to assess the impact of space electromagnetic fields around the lighting equipment on human health.

Since May 5 this year, the mandatory new standard for LED lamps revised by the Mexican Ministry of Economic Affairs has officially entered into force. This standard provides detailed requirements for the minimum energy efficiency requirements, classification, testing procedures, labels and market supervision of LED lamps for outdoor use. On the Luminous Flux Mark, the total luminous flux measurement of all outdoor luminaires shall not be less than 90% of the standard value on the product marking. The standard also requires that all outdoor LED luminaires have a power factor of not less than 0.9 and a total harmonic distortion of no more than 20%.

Since last year, the United States, Japan, Israel and other countries have implemented important standards related to the LED industry. For example, the United States announced the amendments to the "Regulations on Home Appliance Labeling" and formulated new labeling requirements for LED lights; the LED bulbs and LED lighting fixtures sold in Japan are included in the Control of Electrical Appliances Safety Law, and a circular PSE logo must be attached. The technical standards have also been changed.

Many overseas countries have raised the threshold of standards one after another. However, many LED lighting manufacturers in China do not pay much attention to the standards introduced by various countries. Only according to the production of customer samples, there is a great export risk. To this end, the inspection and quarantine department reminds domestic LED lighting manufacturers to effectively enhance the quality risk awareness, design and manufacture products in strict accordance with the standards of the importing countries, do not blindly follow the customer requirements, avoid small losses; at the same time pay close attention to other countries' industry dynamics, establish Obtain the channels and mechanisms for foreign standards and technical trade measures, do a good job in standard collection, and be familiar with the new standards.
