But Chris Harrison of Carnegie Mellon University and colleagues noticed something else.
In an interview with foreign media, Harrison said that in the data sheet, they used software technology to increase the sampling frequency to 4000 Hz (that is, 4000 samples per second). It turns out that their insistence is correct. Harrison said: "There are many people in the industry who have taken the initiative to find us. They like the products we develop. Yes, we did not expect to do this. We are negotiating with some people, the features we are currently showing, Apple, Samsung or any device can be used. So it is a very compatible software."
This is not the first time that Harrison Labs has developed the addition of smartwatch features. Other research results have made it possible to wirelessly detect the position of two-handed fingers or to wear the wrist of the watch and the skin of the hand.
