ADI Releases First SHARC214xx Processor for Dolby Panoramic Audio Content Decoding

Beijing, China - Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI), the world's leading provider of high-performance signal processing solutions, today announced the release of its first digital signal processor for Dolby® Atmos® content decoding applications The SHARC® 214xx series, which will be certified by Dolby Laboratories. With the ADI SHARC® 214xx family of processors, Dolby's latest cinema audio surround sound processing technology is now available in the AVR system for the home theater market. ADI's certified SHARC implementation gives OEM manufacturers confidence that the Dolby Atlantis DSP solution is fully compliant with Dolby Laboratories' implementation requirements.

Dolby Atmoso reproduces fascinating multi-dimensional sounds that deliver and move specific sounds to any location in the room, including the top of the room, allowing viewers to enjoy vibrant entertainment. Since entering the theater in 2012, Dolby Atmos has been well received by all major Hollywood studios, seven Oscar-winning directors and 16 Oscar-winning mixers. The Dolby Atmos Theater experience is now available in home consumer audio products with SHARC processors.
