So far, many high-end smart home devices on the market come with air quality or humidity detection, but recently, MicroBot Sense, which appeared on Kickstarter, has taken environmental detection as its main function.
This small sensor Sense tracks a wide range of environmental information including temperature, humidity, light, air quality, brightness and noise. When an indicator exceeds the preset value, it will alert the user.
Due to its light weight and portability, Sense is also very versatile. You can use it as an anti-theft device, an air quality tester, or even a temporary baby monitor.
Sense supports the Amazon Alexa and IFTTT protocols, and integration with Google Assistant is about to join. With the help of the IFTTT protocol, you can let it interact with your smart home system, adjust the room temperature according to the ambient temperature, or open the curtains after sunrise.
If you just want to know the current state of the environment, just click on the button in the center of the fuselage, Sense will send the detected information as a notification to your mobile phone.
Sense uses low-power Bluetooth to connect to the phone, so it consumes very little power and can be used for a month on a single charge.
Sense is currently conducting crowdfunding at Kickstarter for $41 (approximately RMB 257) and is expected to ship in July this year.
