This article takes Langsheng speakers as an example, and writes a detailed installation instructions for your reference.
If you are worried about the basic technical problems of the local refit shop, it is recommended to print this page and take it with you during installation. .
The set speaker is composed of a tweeter unit, a mid-bass speaker and a crossover. The audio signal of the whole frequency band passes through the splitter, separates the treble signal and the mid-bass signal, and then sends them to the corresponding tweeter and mid-bass speaker respectively.
Of course, the wiring of the set speaker is also more complicated than the coaxial speaker. If the wiring is incorrect, the sound will be very unpleasant when it is light, and the expensive speaker unit (especially the tweeter) or the crossover or even the main unit (power amplifier) will be burned. To this end, we will introduce the correct wiring method of the loudspeaker two-way set speaker (LX65 \ LX52) in detail below.
First look at the six terminals of the crossover. On the transparent plexiglass shell, they are marked from left to right: "IN +-", "Tweeter +-", "Woofer +-". They respectively represent: the positive terminal of the input line, the negative terminal of the input line, the positive terminal of the tweeter, the negative terminal of the tweeter, the positive terminal of the mid-woofer, and the negative terminal of the mid-woofer.
1. "IN +-" means the input terminal of audio signal, the output terminal of the host (or power amplifier) should be connected to these two terminals. "+" Positive pole and "-" negative pole should correspond to the output terminal of the host (or power amplifier), and must not be connected wrongly.
If the positive and negative connections are reversed, the sound of the left door and the sound of the right will be reversed, which will weaken or even cancel the bass. This is why many riders reflected: "After changing the horn, the bass effect is not as good as the original car's horn".
2. "Tweeter +-" is the terminal of the tweeter. The positive and negative poles of the tweeter should correspond to the marks on the crossover.
The positive pole of the loud tweeter is a black wire, and the negative pole is a black / red stripe wire.
3. "Woofer +-" is the terminal of the mid-woofer. The positive and negative poles of the mid-bass horn should correspond to those marked on the crossover, and must not be connected incorrectly.
If the connection is wrong, the same bass reduction (or even complete cancellation) will occur when the positive and negative poles of the input terminal "IN +-" described above are connected incorrectly.
Special attention: the three ports of input terminal, tweeter terminal and mid-bass speaker terminal must not be connected wrongly.
In addition, some riders are the first level of audio upgrades-just replace the original car speakers. Since the speaker wire of the original car does not have positive and negative signs, you may not know which one is positive and which is negative when wiring. For this reason, without professional instruments, as an amateur DIY enthusiast, you can use the following methods to determine the positive and negative of these two lines:
Cut the plug of the original car horn and insert it into the original car horn. Find a 1.5V dry battery. Connect one of the wires of the original car horn to the negative electrode of the battery, and the other wire immediately touches the positive electrode of the battery. Observe the direction of movement of the horn diaphragm (cone). If it is moving forward, it means that the battery negative wire It is the negative pole. The corresponding speaker wire on the original car should be connected to the negative pole of the input terminal of the crossover. The other one is of course the positive pole. If the speaker diaphragm (cone) of the speaker is moving backwards, it means that the line connected to the negative electrode of the battery is the positive electrode. The corresponding speaker wire on the original car should be connected to the positive terminal of the input of the crossover. .
Although many models of the original car have separate tweeters and woofers, but there is no special crossover (generally only a capacitor is connected to the tweeter for high-pass filtering), the sound of the woofer is still "full band "The distortion is very large, and the high frequency part overlaps so seriously that the sound is chaotic and unclear ...
Its tweeter cable and mid-bass speaker cable are connected in parallel. When connecting to the input terminal of the crossover, any one of them can be connected, but we recommend that the rider should connect the mid-bass speaker cable of the original car. Because the treble line of some vehicles will be thinner. The other group is wrapped with insulating tape to prevent short circuit.
Other riders simply install the crossover with one or two screws on the iron plate inside the door, which is not appropriate. Due to the unevenness of the door panel, some screws are not tightened. When the volume is slightly higher, due to the vibration of the iron skin (and air vibration), the crossover and the iron skin collide with each other to produce noise. We suggest fixing the crossover to the plastic door panel and sticking it with hot melt adhesive instead of simply mounting it on the iron plate. In addition, all the speaker cables inside should be tied, otherwise there will be noise. Of course, some vehicles will be more ideal to fix the crossover in the instrument panel and other places.
