Oxford: Turn ordinary cars into driverless cars

OxboTIca is a British company that was spun off from Oxford University, which is developing a new software system that turns ordinary cars into driverless cars.

The software system developed by OxboTIca is called Selenium, which acquires data through a vision camera, laser scanner or radar system. The software uses a series of algorithms to determine the location of surrounding objects, identify the type of object, and indicate the direction of travel for the car. Paul Newman, a professor at Oxford University and co-founder of OxboTIca, said: "Selenium can turn any car into a self-driving car."

According to the team's plan, the software can be used not only to control driverless cars, but also to control warehouse robots, forklifts, and autopilot public transport.
