Qualcomm Introduces 802.11ax Chip to Improve Wi-Fi Transmission Performance

Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock: Qualcomm today announced the first two products supporting 802.11ax Wi-Fi technology, supporting the heavy load and a large number of simultaneous use of the Wi-Fi environment. Wi-Fi technology usually focuses on the highest speed. However, with the arrival of the Internet of Things, more and more devices are online, and the Wi-Fi network becomes very crowded. This is the problem that Wi-Fi 802.11ax has begun to solve.

802.11ax can handle multiple users simultaneously in a crowded Wi-Fi environment, maximizing throughput and transmission speed. By leveraging new technologies, including new technologies from advances in cellular LTE such as OFDMA, next-generation Wi-Fi devices can ensure better transmission speeds and connectivity for more people.

Qualcomm claims to be the first company to offer 802.11ax end-to-end business solutions. It today announced two chips, one for enterprise access points and one for consumer products. The IPQ8074 chip is designed for commercial and enterprise access with a MU-MIMO 12-stream solution: 8x8 5 GHz plus 4x4 2.4 GHz. The system-on-chip supports an 80 MHz channel width and is equipped with a Cortex-A53 quad-core processor running on 2Ghz and a dual-core network processor. The 14nm SoC can also support up to four Gigabit MACs and NBASE-T with two 10G interfaces.

At the same time, the QCA6290 chipset is designed for consumer devices, built on a 28nm process, and supports 2x2 802.11ax connectivity with parallel dual-band operation. The chipset uses a power-saving mode that supports 802.11ax power-saving technology and some of Qualcomm's own battery-saving technology. Therefore, the company recommends that this device be suitable for direct integration into a computing system, rather than being used in a USB WLAN adapter.

Qualcomm believes that IPQ8074 SoC-based routers will appear on the market before the end of this year, and end-user devices with the QCA6290 chipset are expected to be available in late 2018.

Magnetic Transducer External Drive Type

The magnetic transducers (External Drive Type) are versatile and customizable to different physical sizes, housings, mounting options, power consumptions. Our magnetic transducers are engineered to be used with an external drive circuit. This allows our customers the flexibility to design and customize the circuitry to meet their needs. External circuitry allows different frequency ranges to be used to create multiple sounds through excitation waveform. Our magnetic transducers come in a slim-line profile and are a cost-effective solution. Our extensive capabilities make our magnetic transducers an excellent solution for high/low tones, siren, and chime sounds.
