Silicon Labs has introduced a portfolio of magnetic sensors that deliver industry-leading power efficiency, optimal sensitivity, flexible I2C configuration, and built-in attack detection and temperature sensors. Silicon Labs' new Si72xx product line includes today's most advanced, feature-rich magnetic sensors that outperform current reed switches and traditional Hall-effect devices used in various on/off and position-sensing applications. The Si72xx magnetic sensor provides stable reliability for white goods, flow meters, cordless power tools, scroll wheels and pointer controls for consumer electronics, industrial alarms, motor control and door/window safety applications. These sensors are compliant with the AEC-Q100 standard for automotive applications and can be used in harsh industrial environments.
The Si72xx sensor combines the power efficiency of a reed switch with the reliability of a Hall-effect sensor to meet these needs while adding more advanced features, higher sensitivity and superior configurability.
Ultra-low power: Developers are finally able to add reliable Hall-effect sensor-based applications to battery-powered systems without compromising system battery life. The Si72xx sensor can consume less than 100nA (sleep current) and can operate down to 400nA (using a 5Hz sampling rate), enabling designs to last for years or up to ten years, even with very small battery power. Battery life.
High Sensitivity: The excellent sensitivity of the Si72xx sensor (1.19mT Bop) allows developers to reduce the size of magnets in their designs by 50%-80%, or to extend the sensing range by a factor of two or more.
Configurability: The Si72xx sensor can be easily configured, measured and controlled via the I2C interface, providing great flexibility in the design process or the final product. Using the I2C interface allows the sensor to significantly reduce the operating current of the position sensing application, as needed, rather than continuously querying.
Advanced Features: The Si72xx sensor includes many useful features, such as interference threshold characteristics, which enable the system to detect behaviors that attempt to bypass safety detection. Most reed switches and Hall effect sensor safety systems can be broken by powerful external magnetic fields. The Si72xx sensor's anti-jamming detection technology detects abnormal magnetic fields and can use the built-in self-test mode to verify that the sensor remains continuously accurate in the field. The Si72xx sensor also includes a temperature sensor with ±1°C accuracy, eliminating the need for off-chip discrete temperature sensor components, further reducing system size and cost, and enhancing functionality.
The Si72xx sensor portfolio includes three product families:
The Si720x family supports digital output switching and latching to support different sample rates and sensitivities. These sensors are ideal for applications that detect periodic switching signals that vary with the magnetic field.
The Si721x family includes linear output devices for position sensing applications that produce a signal proportional to the strength of the magnetic field. These sensors support different gain and output types, including analog, pulse width modulation (PWM), and single-sided nibble transmission (SENT) protocols for automotive communications.
The Si7210 family is an I2C configurable sensor that supports all the features and functions of the other two families while providing unparalleled design flexibility and programmability.
Tom Pannell, senior director of marketing for Silicon Labs IoT products, said: "The Si72xx portfolio combines advanced features such as ultra-low power, high sensitivity, flexibility, and configurability. There is no product in the existing Hall-effect sensor market. Compatible with it. Silicon Labs' complete product portfolio enables developers to select the right magnetic sensor for their application needs, enabling them to design, test and deploy a variety of cutting-edge position sensing products that are better and faster. Cheaper and have a longer battery life."
Price and availability
The Si72xx Hall-effect magnetic sensor is available now in volume and is available in industry standard 3- and 5-lead SOT-23 packages. The Si72xx sensor starts at $0.45 in quantities of 10,000. The Si72xx-WD-KIT Wheel Demo Development Kit is available now, with a suggested retail price of $149. The kit fully demonstrates the low power, sensitivity and accuracy of the Si72xx sensor, including the pre-programmed EFM32 Happy Gecko STK, wheel demo expansion board, and six postage-sized boards for evaluating different Si72xx Sensor model.
DADNCELL 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries are more suitable for long-lasting continuous discharge and high-performance power consumption equipment because of their unique internal component structure, coupled with better battery materials, improved power capacity and electrical performance, and the same model of DADNCELL 1.5V AAA alkaline cell capacity and discharge time, Alkaline battery capacity and discharge time are 4-7 times that of ordinary batteries, and the gap in power discharge performance at high and low temperature is even wider.
At present, all types of cells developed by DADNCELL Labs do not involve any heavy metals in production, are green and can be disposed of with domestic waste.
DADNCELL 1.5V AAA battery advocates a more comfortable and smooth power supply experience for household appliances. Alkaline zinc-manganese dry battery series is suitable for various common household electronic equipment instruments such as smart door locks, infrared thermometers, cameras, flash lights, razors, electric toys, instruments, high-power remote controls, Bluetooth wireless mouse keyboards, etc.
