Two famous "bounty hackers" arrested, banned from network and face imprisonment

Two industry-renowned hackers: Yarden Bidani and Itay Huri have been arrested by Israeli law enforcement agencies, and both are said to be vDOS, the world's best known cybernetic attack platform manager. According to the information provided by security expert Brian Krebs, the two youths have accumulated at least 618,000 US dollars in the past few years by launching a massive DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service Attack). Now this platform has also been offline.

Kreb said that the two youths did not cover their whereabouts with great care. They placed the host of vDOS on a server at the Huri (Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute), and their email and SMS notifications pointed to them. They even wrote a technical guide explaining how to conduct DDoS attacks. Bidani's old Facebook page used the pseudonym "AppleJ4ck" he used to handle vDOS services. If this information is not enough, people will also find that vDOS refused to launch an attack on the Israeli website because they said it was the owner’s home country.

The two suspects are currently on bail, but their freedom is actually very limited. Law enforcement agencies have put them under house arrest for 10 days, confiscated their passports and prohibited them from using any communications equipment for 30 days. It is unclear whether they will be extradited to the United States.

The arrest of two hackers will not allow the DDOS attack to disappear, but it can be suppressed temporarily to a certain extent. However, it is not a good thing that hackers will certainly be scared to hide their trails more carefully. It also made it more difficult to arrest them.
