Windows Phone 7 starting poor performance on the day

Windows Phone 7 mobile phones were listed in the United States on Monday local time, but the situation on the day of sale was not as hot as Microsoft expected. According to statistics from The Street, Microsoft sold a total of about 40,000 Windows Phone 7 through network operators AT&T and T-Mobile.

Microsoft had previously expected to sell 35 million units in the fourth quarter of this year. However, from the first day of sales, Microsoft's desire is expected to fail. The Street pointed out that Microsoft’s decision to launch a new machine on Monday was also one of the reasons for the poor initial sales.

Google claims that as many as 200,000 Android phones are activated daily, and there are reports that Apple sells 270,000 iPhones a day. When Apple introduced the iPhone for the first time in 2007, AT&T sold a total of 125,000 units within the three days from June 28 to 30. Today's Windows Phone 7 score is similar to that of the iPhone three years ago.

With the upcoming Christmas shopping season in the United States, sales of Windows Phone 7 may increase dramatically. In any case, Windows Phone 7 is still hopeful compared to the previous failed product KIN series (sold 5,000 to 8,000).
