In order to allow more people to enjoy the cool, Lacroix selflessly announced the manufacturing method on the DIY website Instructables. In addition to software, this smart fan also needs to install a computer vision library OpenCV, pulse width modulation software, and a servo system controlled by input and output on a Raspberry Pi computer.
Although this may sound complicated, Lacroix said that actually assembling the fan is not so difficult. He said: "I want to say that anyone can make it out. When I started to develop this fan, I didn't have a tree. Raspberry pie computer, servo system or OpenCV related experience. Through the online search tutorial, I learned to link them together."
Laclos hopes to throw off the concept product label in the near future and launch a more sophisticated and mature product. "Now I open it up, anyone can download this program and do it yourself," he said.
