The system they developed can listen to the child's voice and extract some basic features: loudness, byte length, and frequency. Other children reacted a bit hesitant, but they were quicker and louder when they said they were leaving. When the child's speaking style is confirmed, the robot can choose a verbal response from a slightly different sound file, and the intonation and speaking speed also change slightly.

Every child plays synchronized and asynchronous multiplayer games with the robot. The results show that children with a similarly chosen robot have a higher level of participation and higher scores. This means that people's willingness to cooperate is a skill learned through social interaction.
