Eight Chinese companies were shortlisted for the list, and Gome ranked 74th, ranking third in China's home appliance retail.
According to the report, in the fiscal year 2010 (including the fiscal year ending June 2011), sales of the global retail top 250 increased by more than 5%. This figure is significantly higher than the 1.2% weak growth in fiscal year 2009. At the same time, the profitability of the world's top 250 retail companies has also improved, and the net profit for fiscal year 2010 increased to 3.8%, up from 3.1% in the same period last year.
