Russian electronic components market grows 3.5 times in ten years

Recently, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the development of the Russian electronic components market over the past decade.

According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, from 2006 to 2011, the proportion of local production in the Russian electronic components market was about 40%. It is estimated that by 2015, the proportion of local electronic components market will be expected to increase to 50%. The products of these companies are exported to 62 countries and regions in the world.

In the first half of 2011, radio and electronic products produced by Russian companies exported reached 17.2%, of which more than 70% will be used in the field of military technology.

According to officials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2011, a total of more than 18 billion rubles was invested under the Russian Federation's special plan and the Russian and Belarusian Union national planning framework for the research and development of more than 800 R&D centers in the field.
