Scanner Handset/Scanset

Inside the scanner, each "bit" has a different function. Traditionally, bar code scanners are set up using a bar code menu. This method works well, but when the settings are more complex or the scan mode makes the menu settings more difficult, the whole operation becomes boring. Another way to set up the scanner is to use Metrologic's user-friendly setup software Scanset and Handset. Both of these softwares are menu-driven and therefore easy to use. Users can set up the scanner through the PC serial port. The Handset applies to the MS951, IS4120, and IS4320, and the Scanset applies to the MS700i, MS860, and MS6720, as well as all Tech Series scanners. In addition, Metrologic also introduced the Holoset specifically designed for setting up the HoloTrak series of scanners in 1997. These setup software makes it easy for customers to apply Metrologic's scanners to their systems.
