UCD3138x Reference Design Circuit | Digital Power Controller Application Circuit

The UCD3138x highly integrated digital controller is a digital power controller with superior integration and performance and is a single-chip solution. UCD3138x features: configurable trailing edge/leading edge/triangular modulation; RTC support; configurable FM, phase shift modulation and PWM; synchronization of DPWM waveforms across multiple UCD3138x devices

Typical application range of UCD3138x: power supply and telecom rectifier; power factor correction; isolated DC-DC module; phase-shifted full bridge with peak current mode control, LLC, HSFB, forward, etc.

The UCD3138x (ARM7TDMI-S) is a Von-Neumann architecture, where a single bus provides access to all of the memory modules. All of the memory module addresses are sequentially aligned along the same address range.

The UCC3138 family also supports customization of the boot program by allowing an alternative boot routine to be executed from program FLASH. This feature enables assignment of a unique address to each device;
Therefore, enabling firmware reprogramming even when several devices are connected on the same communication bus.
