How a Ionizer air purifier works.
Contaminated air is drawn by an electrostatic field trough a washable metal prefilter witch trap large dust particles. The remaining particles, some as small as 0.01 micron pass trough the a strong electric field ( Ionizing section ) where the particles receive an electric charge. The charged particles then pass into the collector plates section made of equally spaced parallel plates. Each alternate parallel plate is charged with the same polarity as the particles, which repel while the interleaving plates are grounded which attract and collect the contaminants. The contaminants are held on these plates until washed of. Together with the carbon filter the air gone thru the purifier will be clean, fresh and smell free.
