A report co-authored by 26 experts warned of potential threats to artificial intelligence technology. They believe that this technology may lead to new cybercrime, physical attacks and political subversion in the next 5 to 10 years.
The 100-page report is titled "The Malicious Use of Artificial Intelligence: Forecasting, Prevention, and Mitigation." The experts involved in the writing are from 14 different institutions and organizations. Including Oxford University, Cambridge University and Elon Musk's OpenAI.
The author elaborates on what AI can make in the next few years. Because artificial intelligence is far superior to humans in many ways, the report believes that this technology will now help hostile countries, criminals and terrorists to launch precise and efficient attacks, not only to expand the scope, but also to improve efficiency.
The report writes: "As artificial intelligence becomes more powerful and more popular, we expect that the widespread use of artificial intelligence systems will lead to the expansion of existing threats, new threats, and even changes to typical threat characteristics. "They also warned that because artificial intelligence can scale up and reduce the burden on humans, the cost of attack will be greatly reduced. Similarly, new attacks are also possible because such systems can be used to accomplish tasks that are often difficult for humans to accomplish.
Specifically, the report believes that cyber attacks related to automatic attacks, phishing, speech synthesis, and data poisoning will increase. The emergence of drones and fully automatic and semi-automatic driving systems also poses new risks, including the deliberate impact of multiple unmanned vehicles, using thousands of drones to collide and turn commercial drones into face recognition assassins Control critical infrastructure to claim ransom. On the political front, artificial intelligence can also be used to influence the views of the public, to form highly accurate propaganda, and to spread false but credible articles and videos. Artificial intelligence can also lead to better monitoring technologies in private and public spaces.
To alleviate these threats, the report gives five suggestions:
Researchers in artificial intelligence and machine learning should acknowledge that their research is a double-edged sword.
Policy makers should work closely with technicians to investigate, prevent, and mitigate possible malicious uses of artificial intelligence.
Some methods should be learned in other high-risk technical fields such as computer security and applied to the field of artificial intelligence.
A normative and ethical framework should be prioritized in these areas.
The range of stakeholders and experts covered in discussing these challenges should be expanded.
In addition, the authors of the report believe that it is necessary to “rethink†cybersecurity and invest in institutionalized and technical solutions. They also said that developers should form a “responsible culture†that considers the power of data sharing and openness.
The Future Intelligence Lab is a joint research institute of artificial intelligence, Internet and brain science jointly established by artificial intelligence scientists and related institutions of the Academy of Sciences. Author of Internet Evolution, Dr. Liu Feng, Ph.D., and Professor Shi Yong and Liu Ying from the Center for Virtual Economics and Data Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The main tasks of the future intelligent laboratory include: establishing an AI intelligent system IQ evaluation system, conducting world artificial intelligence IQ evaluation; developing an Internet (city) cloud brain research plan, building an Internet (city) cloud brain technology and enterprise map, to enhance the enterprise, Industry and city intelligence level services.
Features of AKG:1. Can be fixed on two kinds of guide rails2. Since it is inserted into the guide rail, the terminal pressing block is absolutely reliable3. The screws are not loose
Two kinds of holders made from insulating materials:1. One layer holder AB/SS (with screws) for one busbar.2. Double layer holder AB2/SS which are arranged staggered on both sides of the N-line and PE-line busbars.
