Seoul Semiconductor Introduces Single LED with Industry's Highest Light Efficiency of 210lm/W

Seoul Semiconductor said on March 7 that the Acrich MJT 5630D+ for general-purpose lighting such as incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps has a luminous efficacy of 210 lm/W, which is the highest standard for a single LED package in the industry and has already begun mass production.

The 5630 (5.6mm wide x 3.0mm long) independently developed by Seoul Semiconductor is considered to be the representative of medium power LEDs, which are widely used in lighting and IT fields. The biggest highlight of the 5630D is the upgrade of its light efficiency. It achieves the highest 210lm/W in the industry by using LED chips from Seoul Semiconductor MJT multi-junction chip technology.

According to the US Department of Energy's solid-state lighting (SSL) R&D program released in May 2015, LEDs are expected to account for 40% of the US lighting market by 2020, including fluorescent and halogen lamps. In addition, it predicts that by 2030, more than 88% of the lighting will be replaced by LEDs, which is the main energy saving trend.
The plan believes that to achieve such a goal, the lighting efficacy of the finished product needs to reach 200 lm / W, and the luminous efficacy of the LED package needs to reach 220 lm / W. Overview

2.00 mm pitch female sockets/headers are low-profile connectors designed for signal and low power PC board connections when space is at a premium. Options include through-hole, surface mount and can be customized for mixed technology, press-fit and pass-through terminations. The pins and blades are available in various sizes, counts, amperages, and plating.


The 2.0mm can accommodate a maximum current of 3A, with a 30 to 22 AWG wire size, and up to 40-positions. Mount Type: Through-hole vs Surface Mount
At one side of this female header is a series of pins which can either be mounted and soldered directly onto the surface of the PCB (SMT) or placed into drilled holes on the PCB (THM).

Through-Hole (Poke-In)
Best used for high-reliability products that require stronger connections between layers.

Soldering Temperature for 2.0mm Pitch Female Headers
Soldering SMT female connectors can be done at a maximum peak temperature of 260°C for maximum 60 seconds.

For a 2.0mm straight or vertical female header, the standard number of rows that Antenk offers ranges from 1 to 2 rows. Also, the number of contacts for the single row is about 2-40 pins while for dual row, the number contacts may vary from 2-80 pins.

Pin Material
