IT enterprise patriots enter the LED new energy industry

Yesterday, the domestic IT enterprise Patriot confirmed to the author that it has set up a new energy company and plans to engage in LED energy-saving lamps and contract energy management. According to industry insiders, the future of IT companies making new energy across borders is uncertain, but the entry of more new forces is conducive to the development of the energy-saving service industry.

Gao Zhe, the vice chairman of the Patriots, told the author yesterday that Patriot New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was formally established in Beijing and was appointed as the CEO himself. Gao Zhe said that the current plan is to use LED, photovoltaic solar energy as the entry point, but the Patriot's focus is not on the production of energy-saving lamps and other products, but through the integration of technology, the introduction of contract energy management services.

It is reported that Feng Jun, the president of the Patriots, has revealed his interest in the energy-saving industry since last year. At the Davos Economic Forum earlier this year, Feng Jun said, "The Patriots will march into the field of environmental protection."

"LED lights are a major opportunity for IT vendors to enter the environmental protection, and an important opportunity for China's IT industry to go global." Feng Jun believes that "promoting the development of the environmental protection industry is an opportunity for China's independent brands to be linked to the world's take-off." However, the energy industry insiders told the author that the entry of the Patriots is not optimistic because the company has no experience and no strong funds. Although the Patriots are among the best in the domestic IT industry, they still appear to be undersized compared with many large enterprises in the energy industry.

It is reported that Feng Jun and Gao Zhe are both in Guangdong yesterday, and are discussing with the local government to set up a new patriot demonstration base in Guangzhou. In the future, this company will also push the energy-saving base to the whole country.

Gao Zhe told the author that Feng Jun and his attendance at the "Green Company Annual Meeting" last month were very impressed with Chengdu's plan to build a world-class modern rural city. The possibility of setting up a base in Chengdu is not ruled out in the future.
