Taiwanese factory accumulation in April, monthly revenue increased by 5% Q2 revenue is expected to increase by 20% in the quarter

After the LED driver IC factory accumulated a sharp monthly increase of 35% in March, the revenue in April continued to rise, with a monthly increase of 4.97% and an annual increase of 17.9% to NT$213 million. Accumulation said that benefiting from the London Olympics orders and the display screen from the off-season, the second quarter revenue will increase by 15-20% compared with the first quarter.

The third season is the traditional peak season of LED. It is expected that the strength of pulling goods will not fall. Although the Olympic orders are less, the revenue is expected to continue to rise slightly. As for the high-end LED driver IC products with better gross profit, it is estimated that the overall revenue will be 20% by the end of this year.

The accumulation shows that the revenue has maintained a good growth since March, about 10% of which is contributed from the London Olympics. This part of the order will continue until June; in addition, the overall market demand is also significantly warmed by the LED price reduction, especially at high density. In the display part, the number of LED dies used is high and the cost is high. After the price reduction of LEDs, customers who did not dare to pull goods in the past are now pulling. This force is expected to continue into the third quarter.

The accumulation product portfolio is dominated by LED driver ICs, accounting for 90% of the total revenue (10% of high-end products), and the other 10% is the power module for LED lighting. The company said that the gross profit margin of high-end products will reach 40-50% before the end of this year, which can make up for the gap of LED lighting module's gross margin of only 15%.
